Compliance caught up with my non compilance

You know there is this chinese saying; 出来混的迟早都是要还的。if you like to challenge the law, one day it is going to catch up with you. Today tanjong pagar booth, my favorite because i can do many there. I think i did around 7 ntb and 3 add on casa all dabao. 

Around 6:30pm, i was hungry and went out for lunch with my bag. Inside all the dabao applications. When i was back 20minutes later, i saw a lady in the booth thinking she is a walk in customer so i put my bag inside the booth. 

Never thought she is from compliance department doing spot check on sales man compliance. Of course, keeping app is an immediate termination offend. Well i was lucky enough to bring my bag out for dinner but you see, just like when i was caught of drink driving, i caught up with the right timing meeting the hand of justice face to face. Yup. It is so lucky and so unlucky. 

So yup all my effort from 11am to 7pm is gone. I was suppose to fight till 10pm and want to get 10ntb today. And i had the confident and motivation to do it. Then suddenly i just feel like going home. 

I want to sleep. Take a long rest to recover my so many days of hard work.

Ho chi minh day 5

Went to some tourist attraction, independent palace i only walk 15 minutes i sian already. Nothing to see. Just think this tank worth sharing. If you plan to go HCM i say you can almost just skid palace and go war museum straight. 

War museum on ther other hand is very much graphic and gore. More story behind the vietnam war between US. It is a propagada place and show one loop sided suffering in vietnam during the war. It is more interesting to me. 

They mock up the holding cell where the US imprison the vietnamese people and show you how cruel US had tortured the vietanese people. 

More galleries about amputee, no eyes, injuries of soldiers. 

Then a section on the aftermath of using orange on vietnam which is a kind of deadly chemical warfare which cause abnormal to many many generation down. Up till date there is still a lot of familes being affected by abnormal birth due to residue pass down from other generations. It is known as the deadliest chemical being discoved by mankind.

The weapon section displayed what the US use during the vietnam war. So happen to chance upon these 2 weapons that i was being trained in SAF. the M16 and mortar. Almost 8 years when i last saw these weapon already. 

At night go back district 1 to have my bbq dinner da bao back to hotel and eat. 

The prawn is bigger than my ipad mini. WTF right. 

So day 6 will be going back to singapore. Finally. Travelling alone is HCM is not as fun as with company. 

Got myself 2kg of coffee powder and hao hao noodle and see you back in Singapore. Oh i didnt manage to try my snake meal this visit. Wasted. Nvm. I will come back again sometime. 

Ho chi minh day 4

I fell sick i think it is the food. Run toilet many times and fever so basically i slept in hotel for the whole day till 9pm. Whole day gone. Met up with ali and her sister they bring me to a restrauant to eat. Thats all. 

Oh ya. Also visit the very boring night market. 

Back in hotel watch ipad and tv. Happen to see tyna on vietnamese music video channel. So funny. 

Ho chi minh day 3

Day 3 is an unproductive one. Van and martin and chi anh all need to fly on today and then will be me staying another 3 days alone. 

They want me to change ticket and go together. No way. So many part of vietnam i had not seen yet. And my snake meat still got no chance to eat. 

Before she go i was invited to chi anh new house where i understand more about the background of this 2 ladies. When out for lunch one last time before van takes the afternoon flight at 2pm. 

Me and martin went back to this salon and do our hair wash and massage again. Waiting for chi anh to come back after her errand. She did her new hair and me and martin wonder off to unknown place. 

Finally get to try trung nguyen No. 1 coffee. Which is our starbucks equalvent. Coffee is thick and robost. 

We were out last time to have dinner before martin and chi anh catch their flight at 9pm. After which i was all alone. A feeling of anxiety overwhlem me. All alone in HCM is not the safest thing to do. But i will survive. 

Head out to lush club alone to try my luck if i can pick up girls alone. I mean alone is making the already hard thing of pocking up girl more harder. 2 round of heniken sitting at a corner, observing how the place functions. 2 ladies beside me seem all alone but i got no ball yo approach them. They stood up and leave after 1/2 hour seeing i didnt make any moves. 

Then 3 ladies took a table infront of me, they had order bloody mary and i had the rush to approach this table cause all looks extremely pretty. Didnt do so because i scare they are with friends. So i walked around because sitting around too long made me looks like an local drug dealer. When i was back shortly to check out these 3 ladies 2 angmo had hit up on them. Wasted. 

I guess sitting around isnt gonna help me much hence i order more beer to get my kick going, and tried to moves myself inside the dance floor. People at dance floor is more open and they do give u direct eye contact but they were all with other expat. 

Finally i saw a single out lady on level 2 and i was drunk enough to speak to her. Toast a few drinks and i pull her to the dance floor and start dancing. She was initially here with a friend but had lost her friend inside the dance floor. Perfect right. From dancing to grinding and then touchy touchy hug here and there. You know all the drill. I had a total of 6 heniken and we decided to call it off at lush. Went supper after that and she even offer to drop me at my hotel before she goes back. Ok. Basically no second half. Sad but still enjoyed myself alone in HCM. 

Ho chi minh day 2

Day 2 woke up early like 9am to accompany van to shop for clothes. And by shopping, you do not stroll along the street. You ride from shop to shop.  Basically all human in vietnam is on a motorbikes. 

Van and her family sym bike which is shared among her sister and mother. 

Our breakfast has to be vietnam exclusive dish. The beef pho and "sting" strawberry energy drink that is only available in vietnam. Similar to our redbull. 

Crossing of road in vietnam is difficult for most people, i found i had no difficulties. I even want to ride in vietnam. I observe there is certain orders within the chaos. Depsite both sister disagree me for riding, i had done ferry them on the main road. I insist i can and i had no prinlem with anything. Just be as chaotic and crazy as the local. 

It is just like malaysia custom traffic just that this is never ending.

So morning had been dedicated to shopping, evening time had dinner at street aide seafood 

Basically i came to a conclusion, don't have to worry about what to eat cause anything you put inside your mouth turn out to be awsome. No wonder ramsey had endose vietnam cuisine to be one of the best in the world. 

Went to hooka in district one have sisha, beer and street food. 

Ho chi minh day 1 part 2

Continuing... 

Van is out for full body spa after lunch. Her sister just went around to run errand for us. Jessica had the housewife attribute. Helping us to cook, change money and fetch her parent to and fro of house. I kinda of sleep inside hotel due to restless night previously. Martin just start his auto roaming and venture out to zuo wu zuo bo. 

Finally all came together and then travel together to this chinese bbq resturant. 

The buddah sit outside watching over the peace of the resturant. 

The usual 7 pac. And having all of us in a picture is kinda difficult. I insisted on having one. 

The food is not bad. And i just love the local brew 333 beer, only $1.20 sgd and having 5.3% alcohol content. 

Having our desert of 10 scoop ice cream fondue at another location. I had my 3rd cafe su dai of the day. Hor ehhh. 

Then van decide to pull me out of the desert and bring to across the street to try BABY DUCK EGG!!!! Finally it is like a dream come true for me. 

And guess for the price of 24,000 dong ($1.50 sgd)

The special prepared sause, sour plum powder with lime juice. Pepper mint leaves, 2 full duck egg (duck included) and half dozen of quirt eggs (bird included) and 2 small tea cup for u to house the egg. It time for me to open my first baby duck. 

The membrane still intact, the moment u brust it the juice came squirting out and it have the after taste like chicken essential. Sticky sticky. The whole duck taste like sweet egg yolk and the last part is the bone.

So now the dawn had fall, it time to visit the best that saigon had to offer. The night life. Went to pandora sky loft at dunno where

Van had skip this outing and sleep early. Left me, marine and jessica.

Ho chi minh day 1 part 1

It a restless night and met van at airport at 5am. Touch down met up with her sis and parent plus a new singaporean friend, martin who came over also for business trip. The sister treat us and her parent to the chinese resturant and i was skeptical at first about how nice they had said they vietnam counterpart prepare chinese food. I was impressed. 

The suckling duck is skinned in front of us and rolled carefully into presentation and served. 

Then 2nd dish is a round of crab meat soup which the presentation couldnt justify the taste. But believe me it is awsome. 

When they brought over the 3rd dish i was like think it is a orange bamboo or something, cause it is the size of a toilet roll centerpriece. At close observation i realise it is prawn!!! Or shrimp whichever term that is larger. It is the largest fucking prawn i encounter in my life. 

I placed a soup spoon beside for ur comparison, the prawn is gargantuan. They are all shelled off in front of you, you wouldnt need to move a finger literally. Correction you need cause the prawn is consume using fork and knife. 

For prawn/shrimp this big usually you get it dry up, but the preparation is correct making the whole prawn succulent. 

4th dish is a plate of hong kong noodle. 

Lastly, my favorite. 虾耙子。Or commonly know as the squirting prawn. As usual comes in xxl portion. We were bloated and satisfied. The sisters foot the bill to a total of 3,000,000 dong. The meal cause 3 million dong and is equals to $190 sgd for 7 persons. Around $28 per pac and it is considered luxurious by vietnam standard. 

After meal, van wants to part us to shop for herselve, so she sister host her hospitality by bringing us to a local beauty salon and she say it is very good. I was a bit wary of the pricing initially. Cause the serve is so good, so attention to details and all putting their heart and soul with very single stroke of massage. And the hair washing is by no mean wishy washy. I soon realize why. 

Vietnamese practice tipping cause they close relationship to the westernized culture. It is service first, tips later. Not like singapore, price is fixed and customer service in singapore is just being taken a ride for. 

I was so tired, i fell asleep during hair cutting, styling and washing. The whole duration took almost a 2 hours. Majority of the time is spend washing, conditioning your hair, wash face and apply mask and during waiting time they provide excellent massage to your head and shoulder. It is too nice not to fall asleep. All in all 3 person combo is only $50 dollars including tipping. Why should i keep worry about money when they only cost peanuts.....
