Ngee Ann graduation

I felt the need to close this chapter of my life. I had officially graduated with a Civil and Environmental Engineering Diploma, for friends who still have no idea what I had been up to this 3 years.

Although I didn't achieve my target as a gold/silver medalist, I managed to get a Cert. of Merit plus a structural awards. Considering that I study hard and play hard at the same time, I think I did okie.

Oh ya, I was caught littering cigg butt on the graduation day. And yes for the 2nd time. FUCK

I never pay attention to opening speech ever in my life, except for this speech that were told by my BE director.

"Leave this school, bearing HIP in mind

H for humble
I for integrity &
P for passion

And remember never compromise success with your integrity, otherwise its not a true success"

I never thought that I actually benefited from this quote. My boss really praise me on my integrity, humbleness and my commitment. I really give credit to Ngee Ann. 3 years ago and 3 years after, I had grown up. Mentally. More responsible and passionate to my responsibility.

Graduation Dinner 2010

Oh thanks Mr Teo for convicting me into this course.

And updating on my next step, I had been requested to serve my 2 years bond with Sembcorp first before they reconsider if they want to sponsor me for my degree. Well, even if they want, I also don't know if I myself want or not. Study or Chiong into business?

Nevertheless, I will be going to Sembcorp first. The boat will come straight at the harbor. Don't worry.

Vexed lah...

I am passionate about things I do in life, at the beginning at least. I love to give it a 110% but always failed to persevere to the end. So naturally, I don't achieve much in life other than all those tiny little regrets here and there.

"What if I had...".

I hate to use these words. I am emotional now. I hate to be emotional. My negativity cause my 'YIN' qi to increase which create an aura hitting collateral damages to surrounding people. I am a happy go lucky guy, I forget easily.

And WTH. Liping got into Top 10 Most What the HELL category,

and also a chance to leave Hong Kong for holiday. I mean really wth. Put aside she cook 3 strand of vege for a meal, eat eggs x 10 a meal, survival guide for 60 cents a week or even skip 170 in one mintutes. There isn't anything to....

Fuck WHAT THE HEL?!?!?!?

Best of all, she doesn't even include a OMY BLOG sticker/banner for people to vote her at all. While she happily dreaming that she had a slim chance to go Hong Kong for holiday.. Hahaha.

Tell me how do I vote?

Okie, back to myself. I everyday working at Clementi had going into oven treatment. I am so sticky whole day + oily too. The weather is TMD hot.

I exchanged my Iphone with Milestone and also got CLP a Ipod touch 2gen for...... $70. HEEHEE don't be jealous...

JP connects @ Clementi

Boss looked up on me and decided to give me a pay rise for small little encouragement. I was so flattered and touched at the same time. So I decided that if CLP were to help me to hit my target, I would gave her $250 as a gratitude.

A Man of Honor Policy was signed this afternoon.

Through my boss, I really learnt a lot. Not like my previous boss, even help out at shop and just only concerned with the profit. Current one really pushes me to the max and I learnt like super fast. I had to crack my brain to earn a few dollar extra. So I had to learnt repair also.

My first time changing phone's ribbon

I am really busy nowaday but I am really happy about my job now. I work from 11am to 10pm everyday and tonight I even stayed back to help tidy a fruit store.

My boss took over the fruit store beside us. He really very hard working and motivating, so I also give and take. Don't have to be so calculative. However, people will think of me as a boot licker. But who cares, they are not the person who pays my pay.

Look out for the friendly saleman in Clementi

My tarot reading on Iphone

I think I am crazy. For a person who doesn't believes in tarot cards, i actually went to try it. On an Iphone somemore. It gave me ambiguous result so I could not fault it. Since I can't fault it, it led me into believing that it could be true. I asked for love/romance. Shutted my eyes, shuffle the deck by shaking the iphone and randomly shuffle the deck by swiping my finger on the screen. My result was as follows.

There is actually an particular order to read it. Past. Present. Future. Environment. Unconscious. Solution. Conculsion.

XV The Devil
Reverse position
You can leave self obsession behind you by confronting the feelings of jealousy.
MEANING:
The card indicates a heart which is filled with greed, selfishness, and jealousy. It shows a vicious circle of egocentric behaviour which can then bring resentment and anxiety. One needs to look carefully and honestly at these feelings rather than sink deeper into them.

V The Hierophant
Normal position
Your heart is brimming with warmth and compassion. You can reach out to others.
MEANING:
This card symbolizes empathy and a gentle excess of kindness. It can suggest traditions of knowledge and the moral codes that we need in order to function in our culture. Acts of care and tolerance and understanding toward one another.

IX The Hermit
Reverse position
You will find the key that opens the door to matters of the heart in a relationship
MEANING:
The card indicates that one has become too isolated and withdrawn from people around them. The person is unable to share thoughts and experiences and has become detached. They may begin to feel inferior. The card may also indicate that there is a secret to be revealed and this weighs heavily upon the person.

I The Magician
Reverse position
This card brings indecision and uncertainty
MEANING:
This card symbolises that a cloud of insecurity and indecision has descended over ones creative energy. The card indicates that the power remains but something is holding it back the energy is blocked. A project may fall apart and you may lose heart.

VI The Lovers
Normal position
The charms of love and admiration attach themselves to you, and you can sense that good luck is winging its way to you.
MEANING:
This card indicates the beginning of love and the arrival of good luck. Happiness and sparkle clothe this new love, for which one need not search for it will find you. This card brings a surge of sexual attraction which may also become the simple charm of love.

XIX The Sun
Reverse position
You should act with courage and take time to reflect upon a situation or event.
MEANING:
This card symbolises a loss of clarity. The energy and power remain but they are clouded over. Perhaps you have only reflected upon the surface of the problem that has arisen. You may be exaggerating your feelings. You need to pause, turn back a little and look at the deeper meaning.

X Wheel of Fortune
Reverse position
Even if there is misfortune, it eludes you because you cannot control the situation, it unavoidable.
MEANING:
This card indicates that an unavoidable occurrence arises. It may not be for the best. Perhaps a misunderstanding between two persons, somebody being patronised. The situation may deteriorate but it is not the fault of the person. It is just the way the luck has fallen.

Anyone happens to know how to read it?

Lok lok at Taman Sentosa

LOK LOK!!! Weeeee....

After craving it for so long, I finally got the chance to go in and eat again. A very enjoyable trip yesterday night with buddies to Taman Sentonsa, Johor. Really, I think it was the companionship that made the whole experience better. We talk cock again in Qing He's car with Jiayi and Raymond, you know those topic that only certain friends will understand. They know you, and they laughs at your stupid jokes. Genuinely.

My favorite Lok Lok at Taman Sentosa. We were lucky to be early so not much crowd.
I mean its certainly not for hygiene conscious people. The pot of water was shared with other stranger and the indigent although fresh but exposed to the busy streets and stuff. Dust and bacteria all, you know. Its dirty street food, but we don't care. That's the whole reason that made it best. Our body are catered for dirty food :)

Price wise is not considered cheap by local standard. While you indulge one after one and talk with friends at the same time. You easily forgets how many you ate and it could add up to a lot.

Whao, yesterday we ate a total of 60 riggit. Average 15 per pac so roughly convert back to SIN is around 5 plus.

The mushroom simply no joking matter. Its the best of all that night. The uncle deep dried the mushroom and sprinkle pepper on top. Its crispy outside and juicy inside. OMG OMG OMG...

Too bad I don't owe a car, if not I can go in as and when I like :(

Disorder in the American Courts

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

ATTORNEY : This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?
WITNESS : Yes.
ATTORNEY : And in what ways does it affect your memory?
WITNESS : I forget.
ATTORNEY : You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot?

ATTORNEY : Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo?
WITNESS : We both do.
ATTORNEY : Voodoo?
WITNESS : We do.
ATTORNEY : You do?
WITNESS : Yes, voodoo.

ATTORNEY : Now doctor, isn’t it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn’t know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS : Did you actually pass the bar exam?

ATTORNEY : The youngest son, the twenty-one-year-old, how old is he?
WITNESS : Uh, he’s twenty-one.

ATTORNEY : Were you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS : Are you shittin’ me?

ATTORNEY : So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?
WITNESS : Yes.
ATTORNEY : And what were you doing at that time?
WITNESS : Uh…. I was getting laid!

ATTORNEY : She had three children, right?
WITNESS : Yes.
ATTORNEY : How many were boys?
WITNESS : None.
ATTORNEY : Were there any girls?
WITNESS : Are you shittin’ me? Your Honor, I think I need a
different attorney. Can I get a new attorney?

ATTORNEY : How was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS : By death.
ATTORNEY : And by whose death was it terminated?
WITNESS : Now whose death do you suppose terminated it?

ATTORNEY : Can you describe the individual?
WITNESS : He was about medium height and had a beard.
ATTORNEY : Was this a male or a female?
WITNESS : Guess.

ATTORNEY : Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition
notice which I sent to your attorney?
WITNESS : No, this is how I dress when I go to work.

ATTORNEY : Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?
WITNESS : All my autopsies are performed on dead people. Would you like to rephrase that?

ATTORNEY : ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?
WITNESS : Oral.

ATTORNEY : Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
WITNESS : The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.
ATTORNEY : And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?
WITNESS : No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy on him!

ATTORNEY : Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
WITNESS : No.
ATTORNEY : Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS : No.
ATTORNEY : Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS : No.
ATTORNEY : So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS : No.
ATTORNEY : How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS : Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY : I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS : Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

LOL

3 of my motor and no more motor for me.

Despite my father's strong disapproval for me to ride motor, I still went ahead to take my Class 2B license.

That period when I was 18, all I wanted was the freedom to travel on Singapore road, my way. Are we not tired sitting on other people's transport? Every teenager wants freedom and motorcycling is the cheapest way to get around it.

No more excuses of mid night charges when friends ask you out of supper.

However, taking a license isn't down right easy. You need perseverance, patient, passion and efforts to travel a long way to the driving center. I didn't persevere, it took me a good 3 years to finally attain my class 2B. My motivation? I think my camp Ang Mo Quee was so ulu and troublesome for my to take bus or MRT. That's why I had to get my own transport.

I could not tell you my excitement when I first got my Class 2B. So you think you pass your Class 3 only, you got your euphoria. Entirely different okie. Do you really own your car that you are driving.

NO!

Most of them were borrowed from parent. Even if your parent brought you a car, its different. You are obligated to follow their ground rules, curfews, and you can't modify your car if your parent don't think that its safe. Although they gave it to you but its not entirely yours.

But for me, buying and maintaining a motor is within my own capability. Its my property, my asset and exclusively, my procession.

So after I got my 2B, I went straight to buy a motor.

This is my first motor, Honda Wave 125. Its my baby.

Soon after I also did sticker work to my bike. I didn't buy off shop where most of the people did. I custom made my own sticker and its exclusively representing myself. Many people incl. YS thinks that my stickers are childish, stupid and ugly. But I don't care and I am proud.

One good things are, people recognize me by my sticker :)

Until I get tired of it, I went to buy Honda Phantom 200cc. Its' bigger capacity and bigger compartment was its plus point however it was compromised by agility and the ease to wriggle through traffics. It served me for 5 days and I regretted buying Phantom. I sold immediately and got back a "Kup Kia".

Yamaha Sparkz 135. I never really did love this bike. No more than my honda wave even with its better capacity. By the way, its out of my life now. I do not want to be a motorist anymore. No more bad hair day, I could jell my galipo everyday and not let it ruin by my stupid helmet.

2 more years and I am going to get my own car. I hope so.

Sorry no cure.

Overly apologetic people use apology as a defensive mechanism. After all, if you are really really sorry about what you had done, how can anyone be madder than they should be? They apologied and you sure forgive them right?

Wrong! Overly apolopetic people are irritating.

Apologetic people willing, without question always put themselves in a situtation that they had said something or done something wrong. Inevitablely breaking down their self esteem and made them insecure.

Apologing over almost everything make you feels you can't do anything better of what you perceived had done wrong, or simply perceived that everyone else thinks that you had done something wrong. Being overly perceptive towards other's opinion, leads you believing you are not worth so much and apology is the only correct thing to do. Or maybe to help them get out of awkward situations by simpy admitting faults, its the easiest way out, right? So much so, we wondered. Is it genuine?

Everyone has a different ways of doing things, different approve and different opinion. You way of doing thing isn't wrong just because people disappove it, we don't need to seek approval or sympathy. Show people we at least tried to challenge life, retaliation and confronation. End up you might be the person who is right while all others are wrong.

Face the reality, stand up for yourself. Apology is not always the best policey.
