Nokia N8, Hard format (button combination) tutorial

Many guys here face the "brick" problem after trying to play with FontRouter. So I have to find the way to recover it and at last I found one. (And I have to warn you here that DON'T USE FontRouter ON YOUR N8 OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE)

Here is the method to full format and make bricked N8 come alive again:

1) Turn off your phone

2) Hold "Volume Down + Camera Key + Menu Key" and press power button until your phone shake

3) Wait until screen show properly... and welcome back!!

Problem you face after hard format:

1. Ovi map data lost!!! download it here

2. Ovi Store 2.0 and can't be installed correctly thereafter.

**Hard format remove QT runtime, which was used on Ovi 2.0. You need to go Nokia care to flash it again.

Therefore please do not use the hard button formatting unless you absolutely needs to!!!!!

My little N8 Image explained

I am so sick, totally down with a stomach flu. Blame it on the Korean cold noodle I ate last Sunday. This lesson taught me not to act like one "cum some hamnida", no everyone can take their food cold/raw. That's a reason why people invented fire with a flint and a stone. Brighter note, I can take a long 5 day break to rejuvenate myself. Of course, people around me are worried, irritated by my poor health and losing concentration at study. The poor person who is worrying about me, I am sorry to have caused all the negativity. And thanks for chanting "Ah Mi Tou Fu" to hui xiang for me :)

Recently we were into beading animal. We spent many hours of time and concentration to do the animal, everyone we put in our heart and soul. There why they are so live like. They are so alive that they BITE. Only the first one we did, sort of failed. We classified it as premature birth, and born with mild deformation. Poor seal... But as we became more experienced, the kitten, piggie, snowman and twitter bird are strong and healthy.





Whao, very long since I last updated. So long that Liping came for 6 weeks attachment at JI and now it was already 4 weeks into her new semester. Time really flies. Life moving on, still hunting aimlessly. When the one day that my life is finally orientated?

Post AGM 2010

We had a wonderful post AGM gathering. Thanks Valerie for all the picture as well as organizing such a great party for us. Food was nice and people were even nicer. As the milestone for this year AGM, as usual passing baton from old president to new president. Celestine our new president is a capable and well versed lady whom will leader us through many great events near future.

The party was held somewhere in Novena Square I think. They booked the whole game shop down, which made us felt ultra important and VIPness~ We had about 6 game console station to ourselves, Xbox and Wii. Oh btw the badminton was a great game, I battled with Fendy. Hmmm as usual, suck ball at music section. Guitar hero totally got owned. The game ain't much to tell.

Food couldn't have been better. In fact it was the best I had for since so many so many catering from sembcorp. Salad prawn, deep fried salmon, pepper beef, fruits tarts and the best pink pom pom cha cha in town!!

Hi people, note down this big big dates, Nokia N8 officially release on 5 Nov. Finally. It comes in 5 colors and what will you choose? Let me give you a little statistic from a recent poll as well as color senses to help you pick your best color. I know its hard. It didn't surprise me that black came up as first most wanted color, but the least wanted color did. I thought green was featured many times in the ads, why had it became the most unwanted color. Anyway already pre ordered the orange and CLP ordered the green. Oh, btw I seen the actual phone at Vivo city when a person applying his screen protector on. I instantly identify the gorgeous baby. It was an absolute head turner, specially with my illuminates orange.



BLACK

Black is authoritative and powerful; because black can evoke strong emotions, too much can be overwhelming. Black represents a lack of color, the primordial void, emptiness. It is a classic color for clothing, possibly because it makes the wearer appear thinner and more sophisticated.

SILVER (no silver, gray will do)

No U-turn syndrome (NUTS)

No U-turn syndrome (NUTS) is coined by Sim Wang Hoo, director of Creative, to mock the conservative behavior of the people in Singapore. A common social behavior to seek for approval to higher authority prior to any action taken. No U-turn Syndrome uses traffic system in Singapore with comparison with other country to illustrate this phenomenon. Both systems serve the same purpose albeit in a different approach. However the social repercussion is significant.

In Singapore: Drivers are not allow to make a U-turn unless a sign specifically allows them to so.

Oversea: You CAN U-turn freely along the road, which you deem safe to do so as long as "No U-turn sign" is not present.

The "No U-turn Syndrome" permeates into the life of every citizen including our parent, which drove down this concept into our brain as little as we are 4 years old. Our lifestyle and decision since young were rule based. If there is no rule for you to do, then it’s NO DO.

In his articles, he further elaborate that we were nurtured to be easily manipulated so that foreign MNC would be attracted to establish their sub base in Singapore. They came in, set a rule and system from oversea headquarter and all our citizens were always ready to comply. No question asked.

And due to the rigidness of our country's educational system and culture, everyone had to follow other people's paths. If everyone has a degree, then we have to get a certificate even if it means giving up our integrity, passion, lifestyle, dream and creativity.

Hippocampus 2010 committee

I was rather surprise, i could squeeze into he hippo campus commuitee. I love to organize event for people and therefore glad with our arrangement. People in event management are generally good people and easily associated.

Just finished a dinner section with them yesterday at Suntec skinny pizza. Head scholar was generous on our dinner budget, which totalling to $300 plus. As we are eye of an apple which deserved to be well fed, and fed well. I quoted her here. Thanks Cynyi.

President role was passed to Celestine from ex-president; Valeria. Both were excellent female icon who holds great leadership criteria. It rare for women to have my respect and they totally deserve my all due respect. Cynyi ended the dinner with a great motivational speech, and I was all charged with positive energy to face my mundane lifestyle all over again. How powerful is that, when you really can communicate and motivate your people whom you manage. These are great people.

Time flies and CLP came to her last week of her attachment. She going to part us for her last semester in school before she return to join us full time. She had been a doll all this while, being strong and supportive to me. I really had to owe it to her for helping me over one major assignment. I had been assigned for PUB clarification and she helped me to document it and typed 9000 words on words. Almost took her half a day typing. I think from 2pm till 9pm. Couldn't had made it w/o her.

Missing elements from earth and fire

According to my ba zi, out of the five element ; wood, fire, metal, earth and water. I had 5 elements under fire, 2 under water and 1 under wood. (Everyone supposed to have 8 random elements of any kind). As illustrated in the above diagram, I had a strong characteristic (metal), but lacks in career(earth) and drive(fire).

The simplest sentence to describe all the craps are: 我天生我材, 被人用. Had the potential but display for the wrong person, unappreciated. Career/ Environment meet evil star of 陀螺. Spinning round and round without directions, disorientated in life. Stepping all over in the wrong directions.

Got the plan to do but lack the courage to carry it out. Insecure of myself. Discontented with life, suitable to live in the moment of glory rather than remaining forever under a low post. Responsibility is my motivation to changes. Suitable to get married this year or next year. If not have to wait till 2013.

End of the session, master recommended me to rectify my fate by purchasing some $988 kind of pyramid, which of course I had kindly rejected. I think it will be more worthwhile investing in my Nokia N8, which by the way only cost $799 if you pre order online.

Well, 一命 ,二运 ,三风水 ,四读书 ,五福报. 中国五千年历史源远流传, 必然有他一定的道理. I do not doubt the existence of Feng Shui itself, I am just not so sure about the person conveying it, the creditability and the accuracy of it. I am just taking it with a pinch of salt, it will not affect my decision in whatsoever. Anyone interested in reading the thingy, i say, save it up for something else. Some things are better to left alone.
